Leo George is an accessories brand that represents style, adventure, travel and giving back;

all passions of founder, Laura MacDonald.

Laura named the company after her dad who passed away several years ago on Father's Day.

 

The idea for the Leo George bracelet line began when Laura wanted to come up with a way to raise money for the charitable group called Flying Kites, a school and teacher training center in Kenya. If Laura raised enough money, she would be able to participate in one of their "Adventure Challenges." She made and sold the colorful bracelets with the magnetic clasp and raised enough money to participate in one of their challenges... climbing Mount Kilimanjaro! As with many who attempt such a feat, it was life changing.

Challenging and charitable causes are nothing new for Laura: she hiked to Everest Base Camp, 

went skydiving over Dunk Island in the Great Barrier Reef and hiked Machu Picchu. She has been involved in animal rescue, trapping feral cats and paying to have them spayed/neutered. She also traveled to Ecuador with World Vets to volunteer as an assistant on a spay and neuter project for cats and dogs. Laura is involved in many activities, all of which would not be possible if it were not for the fact that she "Believes In Something; and Owns it Now," like no other!

It seems fitting that the bison is the logo for Leo George. Bison are a symbol of strength and determination. They are protective and dedicated to family. Bison are also a symbol of survival. They have a strong will and are ready to face any challenges and difficulties... just like her dad did.
